Hello-
I am working with a Lenovo E32 Workstation. I am not knowledgable about these things so please forgive my ignorance.
My OS is Windows 7 64bit
I would like to be able to use USB and a USB 3.0 External drive, or a USB 3.0 Flash Drive to see if this is a solution to be able to image as fast as possible. My image is about 120GB and usually takes several hours to get through the process over our network.
I have been using the standard Universal (name?) image using the Boot disk wizard, and it seems to work with USB but not over the network. I don't need network right now-I can deal with doing only the one machine using the USB drive(s)-don't need to figure out the Lenovo E32 drivers for the network support right now.
I have read about needing Vista drivers but I don't know where to get these drivers (if they are even available-I've read about people having problems with Lenovo in particular). I don't know how to load these drivers onto a boot disk. And I don't know how to use the command line stuff that many techs use. I usually just put in one software disk after another and push next since that's the only way I seem to be able to get the computers going-can take days.
Is there a way for somebody like me to quickly add drivers or what have you to be able to use USB 3.0 with these Lenovo computers?
If needed, who would I go to to have somebody make one of these boot disks or provide step by step details without any of the fancier tech stuff that that would take me time to understand. I don't have that kind of time.
Lenovo ThinkCentre E32 Workstation
Processor: Intel Xeon CPU E3-1240 v3 @ 3.4GHz 3.4 GHz
16.0 GB RAM
USB 3.0 ports
Windows 7 64bit
Thanks,
Fred
